Lindenwood University has released the 2023-24 Academic Calendar and has made three adjustments to enhance the student experience.

Fall Semester – August 21, 2023

The Fall 2023 semester will begin on Monday, August 21, a week earlier than the semester has traditionally started. The semester will run 16 weeks, with final exams held December 4-8. This adjustment also allows the University to continue offering a four-week winter break, providing ample time for students who plan to travel during the break.

Celebration of Teaching Day – February 13, 2024

To enhance the student experience, a day has been added to the spring schedule for faculty development and professional collaboration. The 2024 Celebration of Teaching Day is an instruction-free day to celebrate the work faculty do as educators. The day will include a guest speaker and opportunities for faculty to learn new strategies; it will also be a time to share and celebrate the effective approaches used by Lindenwood faculty to educate and mentor students. There will be no classes for students on this day to allow for a mid-semester break. Campus departments will offer a variety of programming and activities to promote student well-being and mental health.

Commencement Weekend – May 3-4, 2024

The University will hold commencement ceremonies in May 2024 which will recognize all students completing degrees in the 2023-24 academic year. In place of separate ceremonies in December and May, students who anticipate degree completion in Fall 2023 will be invited to participate in the spring ceremonies. One consolidated annual ceremony per college will allow more students to celebrate their achievements together.
